Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL TO TBILISI

Arrival at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport. Transfer to a hotel in the very heart of a tourist area in Tbilisi.
Relax after an overseas flight .

Day 2TBILISI CITY TOUR

Our program starts with a sightseeing tour in Mtskheta – one of the oldest and vibrant centers of Christianity in Georgia. The place is in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a must- see place.
Jvari Monastery translated as “The Monastery of the Cross”, 6th Century
Svetitskhoveli cathedral, 10th century
Samtavisi – a magnificent sample of Georgian medieval architecture dating back to the 11th century.

Next is lunch at a fine georgian cuisine restaurant. It is a great opportunity to taste the best delights of Georgian cuisine: soup dumplings called khinkali, khachapuri adjaruli (cheese-filled bread), churchkhela (a sort of confections), ajapsandali (a vegetarian dish) and, of course, all kinds of barbeque meat which Georgia is so famous for.

We go on with a guided tour around the capital of Georgia. Tbilisi is a 1500 years old city where you can enjoy a harmonious combination of modern lifestyle, warm-hearted people, ancient history, rich culture and superb cuisine, so while sightseeing, you will definitely find something you are into.

In the evening there is a possibility to visit one of the most popular restaurants in Tbilisi where you can enjoy a country dance show.

Day 3SIGNAGI

After your breakfast at the hotel we set off to Signagi – the heart of Georgia’s wine-growing region, which is proud of its wine, picturesque landscapes, pastel houses and narrow, cobblestone streets. The town is located on a steep hill and overlooks the vast Alazani Valley, with the Caucasus Mountains visible at a distance.
We will start with a guided tour around the place. Later, there is a wine tour in one of the wineries of the area. The owner will tell you everything about Georgian winemaking and you will sample some wine of the best Georgian quality.
By the evening we are back in Tbilisi and you have some free time to enjoy the nightlife.

Day 4BORJOMI

In the morning, after your breakfast at the hotel, we go on with our trip and set for Uplistsikhe (literally “Lord’s Fortress“) – an abandoned rock-hewn town, which used to play an important role in Georgian history. The place was founded in the late Bronze Age, around 1000 BC, and continued to be inhabited until the 13th century AD. Between the 6th century BC and the 11th century AD, Uplistsikhe was one of the most important political and religious centers of pre-Christian Kartli – one of the predecessors of the Georgian state.
We proceed with Borjomi – a resort town in south-central Georgia. The town is famous for its mineral water industry (which is the number one export of Georgia), the Romanov summer palace in Likani, and Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.
You will see all the sights, taste the healing water, and swim in an open-air sulfur spring high in the mountains.
Borjomi is another region of the country, so you have a great chance to enjoy local dishes at lunch.
After having some rest we head for Kutaisi – the legislative capital of Georgia, and the third most popular city. we stay in a hotel and have some rest.

Day 5KUTAISI

The day will start with a sightseeing tour of Kutaisi, later, you will enjoy the wonders of Georgian nature. We will visit
Prometheus Cave – one of Georgia’s natural wonders providing visitors with breathtaking examples of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes. You will not only walk through the place but also experience the 280-meter boat tour on an underground river.

Time for lunch and a visit to Gelati monastery (12 AD) – a medieval monastic complex. It is a masterpiece of the Georgian Golden Age and is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Historically, Gelati was one of the main cultural and intellectual centers in Georgia. It had an Academy which employed some of the most celebrated Georgian scientists, theologians and philosophers. There are still a lot of interesting things to see and hear about.
By the evening, we are back to Kutaisi and you have some free time.

Day 6MARTVILI

Another day – another place! In the morning we are in Martvili canyons. We will visit it to enjoy the scenery, its waterfalls, limestone natural bridges, overview platforms, fossil shells of nautiluses and will take a boat trip in the river with deep green colour.

Later, it is time for lunch and we move on to Okatse Canyon, a natural monument. It is an exciting 800m long walkway along a bridge which is 50m above the canyon and we will reach a viewing platform that hangs right out over the middle of it. From there we will continue exploring the area by visiting Lomina small waterfall/lake and enjoying the nature around.

In the evening we head for Batumi – the second largest city of Georgia. Located on the coast of the Black Sea Batumi is a popular bustling seaside resort during warm seasons. We will get to our 3* hotel early in the evening and take a small sightseeing tour, so that you have a clear understanding of where you are and what you can do here. Later, you have free time and can enjoy the nightlife of never sleeping Batumi.

Day 7BATUMI

DAY 7: Batumi
Today you have a free morning for swimming in the sea and we will meet after lunch for a guided tour around the city and a visit to The Batumi Botanical Garden. The place overlooks the Black Sea and is one of the largest and richest botanical gardens in the world.

In the evening you have a possibility to visit a show in a famous Batumi Dolphinarium. There are shows at 5pm and 9 pm. You also have an opportunity to swim with the dolphins after the show.

Day 8BLACK SEA

This day you are spending on your own .Enjoy the sun and the sea .

Day 9DEPARTURE

We return to Tbilisi .
This is the day we say goodbye but we hope to hear from you soon because you still have a lot to do in Georgia.
